Morecambe look set to have almost a full complement of players available for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Mansfield at the Globe Arena.
The Shrimps came through Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Newport apparently unscathed. With his partner due to give birth, forward Vadaine Oliver missed the trip to south Wales, but on Friday morning the expectation was that he will be involved at the weekend. The only definite absentee is Reece Deakin, who has been recovering from a broken leg.
Mansfield will be without the suspended Hayden White and the injured Jacob Mellis. Right-back White was sent off during the dramatic home win against Cheltenham last weekend and he must now serve a three-match ban.
Mellis suffered a hamstring injury in that 3-2 victory and the midfielder will be out for around three weeks after scans revealed a slight tear. Central defender David Mirfin continues his recovery from a knee problem.
There has never been a draw between these two teams in 11 previous clashes in the Football League (five Morecambe wins, six Mansfield victories).
The Stags have won six of the last eight league meetings with the Shrimps (L2). Indeed, they have won three of their last four trips to Morecambe in League Two (L1).
Morecambe have failed to win any of their previous three League Two matches (D2 L1) despite conceding only one goal in each of those games.
Mansfield are unbeaten in their last three away games in League One (W1 D2), the longest current away unbeaten run in the division.
Danny Rose has had a hand in four goals in his last two league games against Morecambe (three goals, one assist). Against no other side has he been involved in as many goals in the Football League.
