Newcastle 4 Southampton 2. After falling behind early on, the Magpies fight back to win the match convincingly.
Comedy own goal. Danny Fox's attempted clearance ricochet's off Hooiveld into the back of the net. Fox should do much better there.
Sky Bet go 6/1 that this one ends up 3-3, but if you fancy no more goals you can back a 2-2 final score at 9/4.

Another Newcaste free-kick. Luke Shaw brings down Gutierrez, and gets himself in the book in the process.
Nayeen Ahmed has been in touch: "Hi Pete! I'm a Saints fan so I'll try not to be biased! Having read your commentary, I can only see a draw unless Pochettino does something about it at half time! Alot of Newcastle pressure, lots of balls into the box, not much end product! Southampton holding firm.

James Edge has been in touch via Twitter: "I have to back Newcastle to be in at HT 1-1. Krul missing is killer, but surely they have enough in the locker."
Great chance for Newcastle! Debuchy's cutback is mishit twice, first by Gouffran, then by Cisse from six yards. The ball trickles wide.

Southampton stun St James' Park into silence. Lofted ball in by Jack Cork is knocked down by Lambert into Schneiderlin's path, who swivels and beats Elliot at near post.

Magpie's fan Daniel Nolan continue's the trend of confident Geordies: "I'm hoping for a 2-0 win for Newcastle today! Things have been looking up ever since Sissoko was signed and I think he'll score today - hopefully no after effects from Thursday night with 7 changes being made!"

I would really appreciate your opinions before kick-off and during the match. Can Newcastle's French renaissance continue against the Saints? Can Maurico Pochettino's side continue where they left off against champions Manchester City last time out?
