Mark Randall returned to the Newport squad in midweek and should be involved once again when Blackpool visit this weekend.
The midfielder submitted a transfer request after falling out with previous boss Graham Westley but he is now back in favour under Mike Flynn.
Ben Tozer is also in Flynn's thoughts but he is nursing a niggling injury and will not be fit for Saturday.
Ryan Bird made it five goals in 10 games for the Exiles with a match-winning penalty at Morecambe on Tuesday - a result which lifted Flynn's men off the foot of the Sky Bet League Two table.
Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer is hoping for a double injury boost ahead of the trip to Rodney Parade.
Brad Potts and Jordan Flores were forced off within four minutes of each other during the second half of Tuesday's home win over Stevenage.
However, Bowyer is optimistic that the injuries are not serious and that both men will be fit to make the squad for Saturday's game.
Bowyer remains without Kyle Vassell after he suffered a broken foot at the end of February, but no timescale has been set for the striker's return.
