Rotherham United have signed former Leeds striker Luciano Becchio on a deal until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old was most recently in his native Argentina with Club Atlético Belgrano, but has been training with the Millers in recent weeks.

Becchio had spent time on loan at Rotherham from Norwich last season in which he scored two goals in five appearances.

"I'm delighted to come back here and I hope to help the team to move up the table," Becchio told Rotherham's official website.

"I started training with the team two weeks ago and I feel confident. I know the group and I know the manager so I can't wait to play the first game now."

Becchio had previously worked with Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn at Leeds.

"I'm happy to be back working with Neil," Becchio added. "I know him well and I've worked with him before a long time ago. I want to thank the club for the opportunity to play at this level again.

"I'm ready and I've been working hard at home in Mallorca. I've been working very hard for two months and I feel confident and strong and I just want to help the team. I've played for three or four years at this level so I think it's going to be good."
