Sky Bet League One side Walsall have signed Theo Vassell on a one-year contract with an option to extend.
The 19-year-old worked with Saddlers coach Dean Holden at Oldham last season and was offered a contract after impressing in training.
Speaking to the official website, Vassell said: "I'm delighted to have signed for Walsall.
"I think this is going to be a really good opportunity for me and hopefully I can get some game time.
"I know Deano [Dean Holden] from Oldham and he played a big part in me coming here.
"He really convinced me and I think this could be one of the best decisions I've made.
"They're a good bunch of lads here. We've got a lot of young players and a few who are more experienced. I feel I've settled in well and they're all really friendly people."
