Harry Redknapp has made his first signing as Birmingham boss, having completed a deal for Brighton's promotion-winning goalkeeper David Stockdale.

Stockdale's Brighton deal expires at the end of this month and he has rejected a new contract in favour of a three-year deal with the Blues, which will begin on 1 July.

The 31-year-old Stockdale joined Brighton from Fulham in 2014 and made 139 appearances for the south coast club.

He has been a superb performer for the Seagulls, making 45 appearances last season as they finished second in the table and earned promotion to the top flight.

His impressive individual form was rewarded when he was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
