Striker set to sign for Rushden & Diamonds

Inverness have announced that striker Dean McDonald has left the club by mutual consent. The 22-year-old former Gillingham player only joined the Highland outfit last summer, but failed to start a single game during the 2007/08 season. The last of his seven substitute appearances came way back in January and he has subsequently been released. He underwent trials at Gillingham at Toronto in the New Year, but failed to earn a permanent deal at either. However, despite his previous frustrations he is now set to begin talks with Rushden & Diamonds over a proposed move to the Blue Square Premier side.
