McClenahan makes Hamilton exit

Hamilton have confirmed that Australian defender Trent McClenahan has left after failing to reach a decision over his future. The 25-year-old former Hereford, MK Dons and West Ham stopper made 27 SPL appearances last season. Following the capture of Jack Ross, manager Billy Reid accepts the New Douglas Park club could no longer wait for McClenahan to make up his mind. "We offered a contract to Trent and he hadn't accepted it so we felt that it was time to move on," Reid told the club's official website. "Trent had done really well for me over the last two seasons but we couldn't give him any longer, and with Jack Ross available - and other SPL clubs interested in him - we had to act quickly." Meanwhile, former Celtic midfielder Nicky Riley has left following the conclusion of his contract while Darren Young and Eddie Malone are currently training with Reid's squad.
