Macclesfield youngster Michael Thomas has signed a new one-year contract with the League Two club.
The central midfielder, who can also play at the heart of defence, rose through the club's youth system to make his senior debut at Burton in September 2009 and went on to make a total of four first-team appearances as a substitute in 2009/10. Thomas, 18, spent most of this season gaining valuable experience on loan at non-league side Mossley and will now remain under contract at Moss Rose in 2011/12.
