Thompson enjoys brotherly love

Swindon midfielder Louis Thompson has spoken of his pride at earning victories for brother, and club captain, Nathan.

The 19-year-old's winner against Brentford on Saturday came just two weeks after his last-gasp strike saw off Sheffield United. And with Nathan having taken the Robins captaincy from Darren Ward, the younger Thompson admits the brothers are having a season to remember. "I think Nath has done brilliantly as captain," Louis told the Swindon Advertiser. "To win the games, the last ones I have scored in, to win it for him has been the proudest moment for me. "It is not all about scoring. It is about getting three points and good performance. "To have Nath as captain and to give him that is a massive plus for me. I think we have had a season that we will never forget and hopefully we have many more seasons to come."
