Robins in Troy talks

Swindon have begun discussions over a new contract for defender Troy Archibald-Henville.

The centre-back, who arrived from Exeter two years ago, has forced his way back into the side after recovering from a serious knee injury and the Robins have moved to tie him down before his deal expires this summer. "Troy's out of contract, we want to keep him and he's obviously doing his best to put himself in the shop window and rightly so," boss Mark Cooper told the Swindon Advertiser. "I think the chairman is speaking to Troy's people and I'm sure there'll be more talks in days to come." Meanwhile, Cooper has hailed midfielder Alex Pritchard as he prepares to head back to White Hart Lane. The midfielder, who scored eight times during his memorable season-long loan, will be involved against Notts County on Saturday but he turns 21 on May 3 - making him unavailable to feature against Rotherham on the final day under the terms of his youth loan. "He came here a boy and he's going to go away a man and I'm sure he'll go on to bigger and better things," Cooper said.
