Dennis Flinta may have scored the goal of his career, unfortunately it was an own goal, clipped over his 'keeper.
Silkeborg were hammered 5-1 by Norsdjaelland in the Danish Superliga, with the hosts leapfrogging their opponents as a result of the thrashing.
Already two goals to the good thanks to strikes from Godsway Donyoh and Emiliano Marcondes, Flinta put the ball past his own goalkeeper, just past the hour mark in embarrassing style.
With the ball bobbling around in the box, the skipper tried to flick the ball wide, with his goalkeeper stricken on the floor. However, in his attempt to get the ball out for a corner, Flinta instead simply lofted the ball into his own net, leaving his team-mates perplexed.
Flinta started his career with a number of Copenhagen clubs. He played in the reserve team of Brondby IF, but did not play any senior matches for the club. In 2004, he moved to Silkeborg.
