Sunderland defender Billy Jones will return to training this week and should be available for the match against Middlesbrough on April 26.
The 30-year-old is recovering after suffering concussion in Saturday's 2-2 draw with West Ham at the Stadium of Light.
Jones was stretchered off in the 88th minute after a clash with Hammers defender Arthur Masuaku.
Sunderland boss David Moyes confirmed Jones hit his head on the ground during the incident and lost consciousness, and had been sent to hospital to be checked before being discharged later that night.
Sunderland are currently nine points adrift of safety and could be cut even further adrift by the time they face Boro.
