Some major deals are already in place ahead of the January transfer window opening next week, while many of Europe's biggest clubs are finalising their mid-season recruitment plans.
Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the continental media to round-up the latest transfer stories.
Despite reportedly coming close to signing the Frenchman in the summer, Manchester United will not rival Barcelona's efforts to land Antoine Griezmann at the end of this season. Furthermore, United's previous pursuit of the 26-year-old was club-led, while manager Jose Mourinho was not entirely convinced of the player due to his hefty price tag. (Marca)
One-time Chelsea transfer target Yannick Carrasco will be allowed to leave Atletico Madrid in January. The Belgian winger has only started five La Liga games for Atletico this term and Diego Simeone has given the green light for the 24-year-old's sale. (AS)
Athletic Bilbao are still in the dark over the future of highly-rated goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The one-cap Spain international is out of contract in the summer and wanted by Real Madrid, but the Basque club are hopeful the youngster will renew his terms at San Mames. (El Pais)
Arsenal have seen a £35m bid for former Roma and Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia rejected by Juventus. The Gunners are thought to be keen on adding to their defensive options and the 30-year-old has been identified as a target. (Calciomercato)
Angers striker Karl Toko Ekambi is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace, Everton and Burnley. The 24-year-old striker has impressed in Ligue 1 this season, scoring nine goals and registering three assists in 18 outings for the unfancied team from western France. (France Football)
Championship side Norwich City are eyeing a move for 21-year-old Lyon midfielder Aldo Kalulu. The Frenchman has scored four goals on loan with Sochaux in Ligue 2 this term. (France Football)
Bayern Munich are aiming to tie versatile Joshua Kimmich down to a new, long-term contract. The Bavarians have offered the Germany international, once believed to be a Manchester City transfer target, a deal until 2023. It is believed that negotiations with the player have gone well and he will pen his new terms in the new year. (Kicker)
