Hector Bellerin said he will 'definitely be at Arsenal next season'

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin says he will remain at Arsenal because London is "what he calls home".

Bellerin has become a first-team regular in north London since signing his first professional contract in 2013 and although the 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, he insists he is "definitely happy at the club and will be here next season".

Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports News he added: "I've got a long contract, I have been in London for a very long time, this is what I call my home right now.

"There is nothing else I am thinking of, for the summer. We have the World Cup, I don't know if I will be called up or not [to Spain], that is something we will need to wait and see.

"If I get given the chance then I will be really happy for it. Apart from that I am sure I will be coming back here next pre-season."

Arsenal will take on Huddersfield in Wenger's final match after 22 years as their manager and the Frenchmen left a parting gift for his squad saying they "have a bright future" and is confident they will "challenge for the league title again".

Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell believes his old club are lacking leadership in central defence.

Echoing his manager's comments, Bellerin said: "We feel we have the potential. I think we know it when we play together and when I see all my teammates in training, I feel we are not where we should be.

"That can be due to so many reasons we need to find out and work on them. I am sure we will do. When he [Wenger] says that, I can see the potential we have as a team.

"Player by player, we have so many international players, players who play very well with their national teams and I think he is right.

"He is right in terms of as a dressing room and off the pitch, we have very good people who are always trying to help each other, when new players come when young players come from the youth teams.

"You have players giving out the right example and it is great to have that in the dressing room."

Arsene Wenger give a farewell speech to fans, former players and his current squad

Wenger bid farewell to the Emirates in a 5-0 win over Burnley in their final home game of the season and Bellerin joined a host of current and former players to pay tribute to his manager.

"I've only known Arsenal with Arsene Wenger. I was born just a year before he became the boss of designer football, the two will go together forever," Bellerin said.

"When I came here, he was a massive part of me signing for the club, he has treated me like a son I would say, he has given me opportunities, given me so much respect and given me great advice throughout my career here at Arsenal.

"Apart from missing him as a coach I am going to miss him as a person, miss his values and everything he has given to the club is going to be missed."
