Mohamed Salah's penalty might have proved a mere consolation for Egypt on Tuesday night, but it was life changing for one Super 6 entrant as it landed them the £100,000 jackpot.

Two players had correctly predicted six results, but Shinji Kagawa's sixth-minute opener for Japan against Colombia was the Golden Goal to Keely Douglas from Wrexham.

Sweden's narrow victory over South Korea in Group F got the ball rolling, and a convincing second-half performance from Belgium saw them grab the points against Panama.

With the nation jumping for joy at Harry Kane's last-minute winner for England against Tunisia, that result also saw the lucky winner still alive in the game.

Just six players were left in contention following the combination of Japan's surprise victory over Colombia in Group H's opener and Senegal's win against Poland, with all but one backing Russia to see off Egypt.

While the eventual winner may have thought they were out of it with the score 0-0 at the break, the hosts turned on the style in the second half to smash in three goals in 17 minutes.

Salah's penalty with 73 minutes played gave Egypt a slight chance but the hosts held on to provide the winner with 100,000 reasons to celebrate.
