Shot-stopper says striker and coach are staying put
Jose Reina says Liverpool team-mate Fernando Torres will remain at the club next season, despite speculation over his future.
Liverpool ended their campaign in disappointment, missing out on the UEFA Champions League and finishing seventh in the Premier League.
The fall out of Europe's premier club competition has led to talk over star names departing the club, with Steven Gerrard and Torres both being primed for switches.
Torres is reportedly wanted by Chelsea and Barcelona, however, Reina is adamant his Spanish compatriot will remain at Anfield after speaking to the striker this week.
Reina said in The People
: "I am calm about Fernando.
"I spoke to him about his future and he has told me that he intends to continue with us.
"Fernando suffered so many blows last season, but he is a professional and has always wanted to do well for us.
"That is what he remains - committed to this club."
The Reds shot-stopper also believes manager Rafa Benitez will stay at the club as suggestions linked the boss with a move to Inter Milan, who are expected to lose Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid.
Reina added: "I am convinced that Rafa will still be with us and that is good for us because he wants revenge in the next campaign."
