Former Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin has joined Russian Premier League side Kuban Krasnodar.
The 34-year-old was released by Zenit St Petersburg at the end of the season after his contract with the Russian champions expired.
Arshavin won his third Russian title with Zenit last season but was a fringe player in former Chelsea and Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas' team.
Kuban struggled during last year’s campaign, finishing in 10th place - which was below expectations - amid reported financial problems.
The club is backed by the regional government and Arshavin met with the acting governor before signing with Kuban.
Arshavin has 75 caps for Russia but last played for the national team in 2012 when he was booed by fans during coach Fabio Capello's first game in charge.
