Manchester City remain top of the Premier League after their 3-1 win in the Manchester derby on Super Sunday, but what is the state of play at the top of Europe's other major leagues?
As domestic football pauses for the latest international break, we look at what is happening in the title races in La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Eredivisie.
Premier League grades
No Chelsea, City regrets for Alves
It could hardly be tighter in La Liga. Barcelona's dramatic 4-3 loss to Real Betis on Sunday means they only have a one-point cushion at the top, with Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and surprise-package Alaves all level on 23 points.
Espanyol currently occupy fifth place, but Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and the rest will be most concerned by the team in sixth. Real Madrid endured a wretched start to the season under Julen Lopetegui, but they have won four consecutive games in all competitions since Santiago Solari was made interim boss - the latest being Sunday's 4-2 win away to Celta Vigo.
With only four points separating Real Madrid and Barcelona - and with Sevilla and Atletico Madrid also in the mix - there is certainly potential for a thrilling title race in Spain.
La Liga top scorers
Can anyone stop Juventus from claiming an eighth consecutive Serie A title? The early evidence suggests their dominance is likely to continue.
Massimiliano Allegri's side, bolstered by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored eight goals already, are six points clear after winning 11 of their first 12 games. On Sunday, they bounced back from their Champions League defeat by Manchester United with a convincing 2-0 win at AC Milan.
Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli are their closest competitors having taken 28 points from their first 12 fixtures, with Inter Milan (25) and Lazio (22) making up the rest of the top four.
AC Milan sit fifth, while Roma, who have finished the last five seasons in the top three, are down in sixth having made a stuttering start. Eusebio Di Francesco's side will hope Sunday's 4-1 thrashing of Sampdoria can act as a turning point but their hopes of rivalling Juventus this season already appear to be over.
Serie A top scorers
Bayern Munich's vice-like grip on the Bundesliga seems to have weakened, and the pressure on new manager Niko Kovac increased after Saturday's 3-2 loss to old rivals Borussia Dortmund.
While Bayern have now slipped to fifth, below Kovac's former side Eintracht Frankfurt, Dortmund are four points clear at the top. Lucien Favre's youthful side have smashed 33 goals in 11 games so far, with former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho one of the star players.
Borussia Monchengladbach are second after their 3-1 win away to Werder Bremen - their fourth in five games - with RB Leipzig two points above Frankfurt and Bayern and Julian Nagelsmann's Hoffenheim currently sixth. Bayer Leverkusen, who have finished seven of the last eight seasons in the top five, are languishing two points above the drop zone in 13th.
Bundesliga top scorers
With 13 wins from 13 games, Paris Saint-Germain have opened up a 13-point gap at the top of the Ligue 1 table and it is only November. Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and co have smashed 45 goals already. Sunday's 4-0 hammering of Thierry Henry's Monaco was their most emphatic statement yet.
For Monaco, it represented the nadir of a dismal campaign. It is only two years since they clinched the Ligue 1 title and last year they were runners-up, but they have not won a single game since the opening day of the new campaign. They sit 19th - only above bottom side Guingamp on goal difference. Henry has a huge job on his hands.
Lille sit second, ahead of Montpellier, Lyon, St Etienne and Marseille, while Patrick Vieira's Nice are looking up having climbed to seventh with a run of three consecutive wins. Can Henry take inspiration from his old Arsenal team-mate? Monaco's fate remains uncertain but bookmakers are already paying out on PSG for the title.
Ligue 1 top scorers
PSV Eindhoven already look likely to claim their fourth Eredivisie title in five years. Like PSG in France, they have won every game so far, blowing away the competition with 43 goals in 12 games.
Ajax are doing their best to stay in touch, taking 31 points from their opening 12 games and keeping the gap to five points.
Ajax will hope to close that gap as the season progresses but there seems little chance of anyone else rivalling PSV. Feyenoord are 13 points off the top in third place, with Heracles, AZ Alkmaar and Vitesse making up the rest of the top six.
