It is one of the greatest and most feared challenges of Christmas - wrapping a football.
For most men, it's wrap, unwrap...more sellotape...wrap, unwrap, mutter, wrap, until...sigh..."that'll do."
The problem? It turns out we have not been taking into account the 'gaussian curvature' of the ball.
We invited gift-wrapping expert Jane Means to the Sky Sports News HQ studio to show us how it's done. Watch the video and all shall be revealed!
Earlier, we invited Paul Merson and Steve Howey to show us their ball-wrapping skills - or lack of them at least.
Well, Merse and Howey gave it a go and with interesting results (play the video below...)
With a minute on the clock the pair got the scissors out, cut the paper and then went about wrapping the footballs.
Stuart Pearce and Danny Higginbotham, who were both in the Sky Sports News HQ studio as guests on Premier League Daily, were the judges and they came to a unanimous decision, deciding it was the Magic Man, Merse, who came out on top.
Pearce said: "For me it was wrapped with love and affection, unlike Steve Howey's so Merse is the winner."
There was also time for a word from the proud winner, Merse: "It's an emotional moment. My wife will be going ballistic at home bacuse I haven't wrapped a single present this year."
Hit play on the video above to see both Merse and Howey's attempts.
