Manchester United appear to be leading the chase to sign Antoine Griezmann, according to the Atletico Madrid’s striker’s advisor.

Eric Olhats, the scout who helped to discover the Frenchman, claims Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in the player.

Griezmann, who has a release clause in his contract of £84m, has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent months but has insisted he wants to stay at the Spanish club.

But Olhats said he will listen to offers for the striker, who has scored 16 goals in La Liga this season.

"We're at the stage of gathering information from clubs who have a concrete interest," he told French TV show Telefoot.

"There is an unavoidable 100m clause so that restricts the number of candidates. You have United, City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"United were the first to come and see us and the most concrete in their wishes."

Sky Sports' Spanish expert Guillem Balague said earlier this month Atletico believe Griezmann and manager Diego Simeone will stay at the club next season.
