Manchester City's Phil Foden and Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold are on the 40-man shortlist for the 2018 Golden Boy award.
The award, established by Italian publication Tuttosport, is given to the best player under the age of 21 in Europe, with the winner being decided by 30 journalists from media outlets across the continent.
Paris Saint-Germain forward and World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, 19, could win the award for the second year running after he received another nomination.
Defender Arnold, 19, has established himself in Liverpool's first team this year and was also part of Gareth Soutgate's World Cup squad.
Foden, 18, received the Golden Ball at the U17 World Cup with England, and scored his first senior goal for Pep Guardiola's side in the Carabao Cup win against Oxford United last week.
Everton's midfielder Tom Davies also makes the list, alongside Manchester United's summer signing Diogo Dalot and Celtic's Odsonne Edouard.
