Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare has undergone surgery after dislocating his shoulder, and is expected to be out of action for two months.

The Senegal international suffered the injury during Palace's FA Cup victory over Grimsby last weekend.

Palace confirmed the operation was successful, and Souare took to Twitter to say: "Quick minor op, and it went great can't wait to get back doing what I love.

"I wanna thank everyone for their ongoing support. See you soon."

Souare has been a peripheral figure for Palace this season and has featured in just four matches.
