Manager Roberto Di Matteo is not interested who scores for Chelsea as long as they win matches.
The Stamford Bridge boss saw his side grab a late win over Stoke City on Saturday afternoon courtesy of Ashley Cole's first goal in more than two years.
It was an unlikely source of a match-winner, especially as Chelsea's starting XI contained more than £130million of attacking options in Oscar, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres.
But although Di Matteo's key attackers struggled, especially Torres, the Italian was delighted to collect the three points which kept his side top of the Premier League.
"An unexpected goalscorer but we seem to have our full-backs in very advanced positions these days," Di Matteo told
Sky Sports.
"It does not matter to me who scores, as long as we win as a team."
Patient
The result was a repeat of last season, when Chelsea grabbed a 1-0 win over Stoke, and Di Matteo was always expecting a tough match against Tony Pulis' side.
"You have a game-plan, you have to be patient and you have to try and find some solutions to break them down," he said.
"It is very difficult. They are very well organised and very well drilled by Tony Pulis. If you can score an early goal, that helps a lot against teams like Stoke.
"But I do not care if we score late. We did it last season and this season, again, you just have to keep going and try to find that goal."
Pulis was less than impressed with a challenge from David Luiz on Jon Walters in the closing seconds, which sparked a brief melee between players of both clubs.
And Di Matteo said: "It was a strong tackle. Fortunately he (Luiz) did not catch the player fully, because I think he could have hurt him (Walters).
"But we accept the referee's decision and we move on from that."
