Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has played down rumours linking with the manager's job at Chelsea.

Italian unaware of Chelsea talk

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has played down rumours linking him with the manager's job at Chelsea. Prandelli, along with Roma's Luciano Spalletti, is the latest name to be linked with the vacant role at Stamford Bridge after Carlo Ancelotti pledged his future to Milan. Chelsea have been frustrated in their attempts to bring in a new man as they seek to find a replacement for Avram Grant. Prandelli has done an impressive job at Fiorentina, helping them finish in fourth and qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League. Reports have suggested Prandelli has impressed Chelsea officials, but the Italian says he has heard nothing from Chelsea. "I know nothing about Chelsea's interest in me," Prandelli told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have not had any approach personally. They are just rumours that are pleasing, but nothing more."
