Inter have hinted the capture of Lucio could end their interest in Ricardo Carvalho and Deco.
Moratti hints it is unlikely club will bid for Carvalho and Deco
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has intimated that the capture of centre-back Lucio could spell the end of the club's interest in Chelsea duo Ricardo Carvalho and Deco.
Bayern confirmed the Serie A champions' signing of Brazil international Lucio for an undisclosed fee on Thursday, as Inter manager Jose Mourinho plots for the new season.
Former Blues boss Mourinho has been strongly linked with bids for Portuguese compatriots Carvalho and Deco, but Inter recently stated that Chelsea's valuation of the pair could jeopardise a deal.
Moratti told the club's official website: "Would the signing of Lucio mean we abandon a deal for Deco and Carvalho?"
"I think it's sufficiently clear that we can't sign 40 players."
Playmaker Deco and defender Carvalho have confirmed this summer that they would be open to moves away from Stamford Bridge.
