Villas-Boas bemoans crucial Mata miss
Andre Villas-Boas admitted Chelsea 'have to get things right' after slumping to a second straight Premier League defeat at home to Arsenal on Saturday.
The Blues lost 1-0 to QPR last weekend and had been looking to get back on track against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge.
However, they finished without a point after Arsenal got the better of an extraordinarily open game to prevail 5-3.
Villas-Boas was left to bemoan a missed chance by Juan Mata at 3-3 with just a few minutes remaining, before Robin van Persie scored two late goals to complete a hat-trick.
The Portuguese tactician insists there were some positives to take from the match, but has demanded a response.
"The decisive moment might have been when Mata was free on goal and misses the chance to go 4-3 ahead," Villas-Boas told Sky Sports
"We've seen some great open games recently between the top teams and this is one more.
"We will have to reflect on the mistakes we made and there are a couple of things we can improve, but the commitment and desire is there.
"We must evolve, it's a loss against a big team picking up form, it's two defeats in a row and we have to get things right."
