Danny Mills reflects on Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City's draw in the Champions League last 16.

Manchester United have drawn Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League, while Liverpool will face Bayern Munich and Tottenham will take on Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City were drawn against Bundesliga side Schalke, meaning three of the four English teams will face German opposition.

Cristiano Ronaldo will return to the city of Madrid, with Juventus drawn against Atletico.

Holders Real Madrid must overcome Dutch side Ajax, while Barcelona will take on Lyon and Roma will face FC Porto.

The first legs of the last-16 ties will be split over two midweek dates, on February 12/13 and 19/20, with the second legs played over March 5/6 and 12/13.

It will mark the first time United have faced PSG in a competitive match and Danny Mills feels Jose Mourinho's side will find it difficult to beat the Ligue 1 champions, who were top scorers in the group stages with 17.

Mills told Sky Sports News: "It is an incredibly difficult draw for Manchester United. PSG - the way they are playing, the forward line they have, defensively they look better than ever before - they will be the out-and-out favourites.

"But there is always that caveat with Jose Mourinho, he can always upset the applecart from time to time. They are not out of it, but it is a very tough draw."

Jurgen Klopp goes up against Bayern Munich once again - having lost to them in the 2013 final with Dortmund - and Mills feels his familiarity with the Bavarian giants will help Liverpool.

"He has done well against Bayern in the past," Mills said. "It is a club he will know. He will know a lot of the players, be aware of how they play and their systems.

"But Liverpool were Champions League finalists last season and they are top of the Premier League. They are a force to be reckoned with.

"Bayern Munich will have to be very, very wary of Liverpool."

Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga, nine points ahead of Bayern who have struggled at times under new manager Niko Kovac.

Mills expects Dortmund to provide a stiff test for Spurs, particularly with the second leg at the 81,360-capacity Westfalenstadion.

"Dortmund are playing very, very well - good attractive football, high tempo - they will be very, very difficult to play against," Mills said.

"With the second game in Dortmund with their fans and the yellow wall and the backing the crowd gives them there, it is going to very difficult for Tottenham.

"It is winnable. You do not look at it and go 'oh, it is an impossible task'. If Tottenham can play to their very, very best, they have got a great chance of going through."

Schalke are 13th in the Bundesliga and Mills feels Man City boss Pep Guardiola will be pleased with that draw.

"That would be a massive shock if Manchester City do not get through that tie over two legs," Mills said. "I will be astonished if they do not go through."

The Champions League final will take place on June 1 at Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
