European paper talk: Liverpool to launch bid for Marco Asensio

Liverpool will launch a move for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, plus more from Tuesday's papers across Europe.

With that in mind, we asked our friends at Football Whispers to round up all the latest news, views and gossip from across the continent.

Spain

Liverpool will launch a move for Asensio, who has started just 18 La Liga games this season. The Reds were interested in the Spain international last summer but Real president Florentino Perez didn't want to sell the 23-year-old. (Mundo Deportivo)

Eden Hazard may hand in a transfer request to force through a move from Chelsea to Real Madrid. The Blues haven't budged on their £100m valuation of the Belgian star, a figure the La Liga giants are hesitant to match. (AS)

Real Madrid forward Mariano Diaz doesn't want to leave the La Liga giants this summer. The 21-year-old could be used as a makeweight in Los Blancos' move for Luka Jovic but has told reporters: "I don't have a crystal ball but I want to stay at Real Madrid." (AS)

Matthijs de Ligt has no intention of joining Manchester United. The Premier League side are prepared to offer the Ajax centre-back a £250,000-a-week contract but the 19-year-old is determined to join Barcelona this summer. (AS)

Atletico Madrid have joined Chelsea and Everton in the race to sign Lille midfielder Thiago Mendes. The Brazilain is thought to be available for around £30m this summer. (AS)

France

Manchester United are ready to launch a move for Juventus star Paulo Dybala. The Argentine will be allowed to leave Juventus for around £90m this summer after losing his place in the starting XI to Cristiano Ronaldo. (RMC)

Chelsea goalkeeper Marcin Bulka is in talks to joins Paris Saint-Germain. The 19-year-old's contract with the Blues expires this summer and the Ligue 1 champions are ready to offer him a five-year deal to move to the French capital. (RMC)

Arsenal have held talks with Lille over a move for Nicolas Pepe but are likely to be priced out of a move for the winger, who is also wanted by Bayern Munich and several Premier League sides. (France Football)

The Gunners will instead focus their attention on clinching a deal for Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser and will also try to bring Ajax winger David Neres to the Emirates this summer. (France Football)

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Ajax boss Erik ten Hag and have enlisted Mino Raiola to try to ascertain if the Dutch coach would be interested in taking charge of the Ligue 1 giants either this summer or at the end of next season. (Canal+)

Italy

Inter will move for Sevilla star Pablo Sarabia this summer. The 26-year-old has a £15m buyout clause and the Serie A side view him as the long-term replacement for Ivan Perisic, who is likely to be sold. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Antonio Conte has ruled out joining Roma, saying: "Right now the conditions aren't there but I think I'll coach Roma one day." There remains interest in the former Chelsea coach from Juventus, Inter and AC Milan. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Torino striker Andrea Belotti has signed a new contract with the club. The 26-year-old, who has struck 15 goals this season, had been linked with a switch to Inter but will remain in Turin until 2022. (Tuttosport)

Germany

Julian Brandt is open to staying at Bayer Leverkusen this summer if the club qualify for the Champions League. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer and is also wanted by Borussia Dortmund. (Bild)

Swedish striker Alexander Isak has not ruled out leaving Dortmund this summer as interest in the striker grows. The 19-year-old has struck twelve goals in 14 games on loan at Willem II and is wanted by Barcelona and Chelsea. (Expressen)
