The latest players Liverpool have been linked with...
The Reds will continue to watch the German's development, as will a number of top European clubs including Chelsea, but they are also unlikely to pursue a move in the summer as things stand, as speculation over his future mounts in Germany.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs monitoring Brighton defender Ben White during his current loan at Leeds.
There is no break clause in his season-long loan from the Seagulls, however, so the most likely chance of a deal this month would be for a club to buy him and agree to loan him straight back to Leeds for the rest of the campaign.
However, the Nigeria international is expected to stay at Lille for the rest of the season unless the French club receives a January offer that is too good to refuse.
Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has seemed to confirm Liverpool are interested in goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir too, saying: "It's been said Liverpool have made an offer. So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my keeper. In other words Liverpool's goalkeeper is in my goal."

The latest on those who could leave Liverpool this January...
Sky in Italy are reporting Roma want to sign the Switzerland international on loan as they search for a new winger, but have since moved on to look at former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj.
Liverpool have had enquiries for right-back Nathaniel Clyne, who was available in the summer, and he is said to have a good chance at a move next month due to a step up in his recovery from injury.
The England international was ruled out for around six months with a cruciate knee ligament injury picked up in pre-season game against Borussia Dortmund, but he is expected to return to training next month.
Georginio Wijnaldum is very happy at Liverpool and would like to stay at Anfield as long as possible. There have been reports Wijnaldum could leave Anfield when his contract runs out in 18 months, but the midfielder believes he is at the best club in the world and plans are in the pipeline for talks over a new deal.
