Rovers ace looking for push The Reds all the wayMorten Gamst Pedersen believes Blackburn Rovers will be pushing Liverpool all the way for a UEFA Champions League place.
Mark Hughes' troops have made a fine start to their Premier League campaign, having lost only one of their 10 league outings to date.
Rovers finished just two points shy of a Champions League spot two years ago and the talented Norwegian believes the squad have come on leaps and bounds since then.
Pedersen has conceded Liverpool have been unfortunate with injuries this season, although that will not hinder Rovers fighting all the way for a place in Europe's elite cup competition.
Injuries"Liverpool could have done better but they've been unlucky with injuries," conceded Pedersen.
"They'll be fighting for a Champions League place at the end of the season, but so will we.
"Two years ago we were two points away from a Champions League spot so it's possible.
"If you compare us now to where we were three years ago there's a massive difference."
