Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood hopes manager Arsene Wenger will finally agree a new deal "in the next week or so".Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has revealed he hopes Arsene Wenger will finally agree a new deal "in the next week or so". Wenger's future at Arsenal has been the subject of intense speculation for some time with current deal at the Emirates Stadium due to expire at the end of the season. The Frenchman is believed to have agreed a new three-year deal and is on the brink of putting pen-to-paper. Hill-Wood has admitted he hopes to make an announcement over Wenger's future in the next seven days. "Hopefully we'll have something to say in the next week or so," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star. "The length of the contract is up to him but hopefully it will be a two or three-year deal. "We certainly want to pay him what he's worth. But money is not the major stumbling block - there are just little pieces here and there to sort out."
