Striker let off following spat with team-mate Bendtner
The Football Association has confirmed no formal disciplinary action will be taken against Emmanuel Adebayor over the incident involving Arsenal team-mate Nicklas Bendtner in the Carling Cup semi-final against Tottenham.
During the closing stages of The Gunners' 5-1 loss, Adebayor appeared to butt Bendtner, and an altercation ensued that needed the intervention of captain William Gallas.
Referee Howard Webb failed to see the row, but the FA looked at video footage to decide on whether retrospective punishment was appropriate.
On further inspection it has been decided it will not intervene, but the FA will write to both players to remind them of their responsibilities.
In the aftermath of the incident Adebayor apologised to the Danish youngster for his part in the incident.
