Jean Thissen has confirmed he intends to play Emmanuel Adebayor in Togo's World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Arsenal striker Adebayor has been named in Togo's squad despite not playing for Arsenal since February.
The 25-year-old has only just recovered from a long-term hamstring injury but is now set to play for his country on Saturday.
Head coach Thissen said at a press conference: "Ade did not come here for nothing, he is here to play against Cameroon.
"He is the main man for the national team. He is my captain, the nation can count on him.
"He has always given his best for the country so he will be a boost to the squad. He is a wonderful player."
