Striker remains keen to return to Real Sociedad
Carlos Vela's agent is waiting to hold talks with Arsenal regarding the striker's future amid talk of a return to Real Sociedad.
The Mexico international has struggled to establish himself at Emirates Stadium and has started just three Premier League games during his Arsenal career.
He has taken in numerous loan spells and the 23-year-old enjoyed last season in Spain with Sociedad, who are keen to re-sign Vela.
The forward also wants to go back to Sociedad next term, but his representative Eduardo Hernandez has yet to discuss the situation with the Gunners.
"Arsenal is tough at the moment of negotiations, but Carlos is calm and he doesn't have any hurry," Hernandez told
El Mundo Deportivo.
"The first thing that we have to do is to resolve the situation with Arsenal. I am waiting for a call from Arsenal.
"The first thing that we need to know is what they have in mind regarding Carlos. I can't have any meeting with Real Sociedad until they say to me what they want to do.
"We have already spoken about what Carlos' desire is. He was very comfortable at Real Sociedad and he said several times that he would like to continue there."
