Olivier Giroud believes a crucial strike for France will help his efforts at Arsenal, with his confidence having been restored.
Giroud may be about to turn his attention back to club duties, but he has taken the opportunity to aim an international parting shot at France's critics. He said: "We have silenced some of our doubters. It is only one match and we mustn't get carried away, but it is always nice to offer a response on the pitch. "We kept faith right until the end. We showed solidarity and were rewarded for that. We played the complete match and we got a point. "Spain remain favourites to win the group, but why can't we challenge them? There is still a long way to go."
