Manchester United host Burton Albion live on Sky Sports Football from 7.30pm as the third round of the Carabao Cup continues on Wednesday.
Nigel Clough's Championship side will be looking to cause an upset at Old Trafford after seeing off Cardiff City in the previous round.
They beat Fulham 2-1 at the weekend but have lost four of their eight league matches so far and sit 19th in the table.
Opponents United beat Everton 4-0 on Nissan Super Sunday to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the table.
Clough watched the game - United's third league win by that scoreline this season - and admits his Burton side face a massive challenge.
"I watched the first 10 minutes, Everton couldn't get out of their half," Clough said. "We will try and not make any mistakes and try to get out of our half. They just penned them in.
"I don't think you can make plans for specific players, when you look at the squad they can use all internationals, we've got to be at our very best to match them."
If Burton can stun the defending champions, they will deny Jose Mourinho the chance for a record-breaking fifth League Cup title.
Mourinho is currently level on four with Sir Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough, father of Burton manager Nigel.
Pep Guardiola's team have scored 15 and conceded none in their last three fixtures in all competitions, while the Baggies have cooled after a hot start, failing to win in their last three.
Everton will be looking to bounce back at home to struggling Sunderland after a disastrous run of recent results.
Ronald Koeman's side have not won for more than a month, in the process failing to score a single goal while conceding 12.
"It does not look too good at the moment but I know we are more than good enough to turn this around," Gylfi Sigurdsson told the club's website.
"And I think with the staff and the players we have, and the will within the team, eventually we will turn this around."
As well as watching Man Utd v Burton on Sky Sports Football, you can follow the rest of the Carabao Cup action on Soccer Special from 7.30pm on Sky Sports News or Sky Sports Premier League, and watch the draw for the fourth round.
