French star aims to fire Everton into the top half
Rejuvenated striker Louis Saha is willing to shoulder his share of the blame for Everton's dismal start to the season.
Saha made little impact in the first five months of the campaign and failed to score in the Premier League until January.
But the 32-year-old has scored eight goals in his last six games, including four in the 5-3 win against Blackpool, to help David Moyes' men move away from the relegation zone.
Higher
Saha said: "We know we could do better - we should be higher in the table.
"We have got a squad with brilliant players, quality players.
"If everyone plays at their top level we can get results and move up the table where we should be.
"If I played the same way as I did against Blackpool we would be in a better situation."
The Frenchman netted 15 times for the Toffees last season but saw the goals dry up after a memorable double against Chelsea last February.
However, Saha remained confident they would return and his strike against Tottenham last month opened the floodgates.
Confident
He said: "I did struggle towards the end of last season. Then when you come back for the season and get an injury it is always hard.
"You have to work hard to get back to a certain level. It is not like I am 22.
"I wasn't very lucky - but that does happen so I must keep working hard.
"When you are confident in your ability one day it is going to come.
"To get the goal in the Tottenham game was very helpful."
