Belgian side Club Brugge are in talks with Tottenham over a possible deal for midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Wanyama joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2016 but has slipped down the pecking order and has yet to feature for the London club this season.

He could be on the move to the continent, where the transfer window remains open until September 2.

Brugge are looking for more options in midfield after selling Marvelous Nakamba to Aston Villa.

Winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is also poised to leave Tottenham.

The 24-year-old is in Turkey ahead of a medical with Besiktas, having been short of first-team football since he arrived in north London for £11m from Marseille in 2016.

The fee for Nkoudou is around £4.6m and Spurs will receive 50 per cent of future sale, should Besiktas sell him.

Nkoudou tweeted a farewell message, wishing Spurs all the best and thanking the club's supporters.

"It's now time to leave this great club that is Tottenham. Even though our story wasn't the one I hoped for when I arrived here, I still feel like I learned a lot, as a player and as a man," Nkoudou said.

"I've always tried to give my all for this team and this club and I wish my teammates and the staff the very best for this season, and the followings. Also a big thank you to the fans who had my back and supported me through the times."
