Big interest in Copenhagen left-back

Oscar Wendt has confirmed he is being watched by major clubs after reports linked Tottenham Hotspur with an interest. The 23-year-old left-back is attracting attention from clubs all over Europe following a string of impressive displays for FC Copenhagen. The Swedish international moved to Denmark in 2006 after starting his career with IFK Gothenburg. Now, according to Scandinavian sources, Tottenham are amongst the clubs keeping close tabs on Wendt - but they are not alone as Werder Bremen, Hoffenheim, Hamburg and PSV Eindhoven have also taken a keen interest. Speaking exclusively to skysports.com, Wendt's agent Martin Dahlin admitted it is not much of a surprise that his charge is attracting interest. "I do not comment on any specific rumours or clubs, but of course the games against Manchester City and Valencia has drawn a big attention to Oscar Wendt who was outstanding in those matches," Dahlin told skysports.com. Wendt himself admitted he knew he was being watched, but conceded he did not know which clubs were interested. "I know that there are people from other clubs that are here watching regularly," Wendt told Aftonbladet. "I don't know more than that. There are clubs that follow me. I really like it at FC Copenhagen, but of course I want to try as high level as possible."
