South Africa defender to join in January
Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to sign Bongani Khumalo in January, according to the South African defender.
The SuperSport captain had trials at the Premier League club earlier this month and has reportedly impressed manager Harry Redknapp enough to persuade the club to sign him.
The 23-year-old was a big part of the Bafana Bafana's World Cup campaign this summer, and although the transfer has yet to be finalised, the player is confident the deal will go through.
"I enjoyed my trial with Spurs and all I can say is that, at this stage, the deal is pending and an announcement will be made later," Khumalo told the South African Press Association.
Khumalo's business manager Glyn Binkin told Press Association Sport: "At this stage, absolutely nothing has been finalised and discussions are ongoing between representatives of the various parties, namely Spurs, SuperSport United and the player regarding a possible move for Bongani Khumalo to Spurs."
