Spurs boss tells striker his departure is no certainty

Harry Redknapp has told Robbie Keane he could still have a future at Tottenham. The 30-year-old striker was down the pecking order at Spurs last term before spending the end of the campaign on loan at West Ham. The Republic of Ireland's record goalscorer has been linked with a summer switch with his chances of seeing regular first-team football at White Hart Lane looking increasingly unlikely. But any serious offers are yet to come in so Redknapp has challenged the former Liverpool and Leeds forward to fight for a place next term. "I've said many times that Robbie's a great professional, a great character and a great lad," he told Sky Sports News.

Good player

"He's still a good player so let's see what happens. "If he doesn't go he'll be here and start on level terms with the rest of the players so it's up to him then to get in the team. "If somebody wants to buy him and he feels he wants to move on then it's great for everybody but we'll wait and see."
