Sky Sports News that he is keen to stay in football management after parting company with Tottenham.
Spurs announced that Redknapp had left White Hart Lane in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He did take the club into the UEFA Champions League during his four years at White Hart Lane, but missed out on a seat at European football's top table last term despite securing a fourth-placed finish.
It is understood that Redknapp met with the Spurs board on Wednesday evening and it was during those discussions that he was made aware of the club's plans to move in a different direction.
He was keen to remain in his post and earn a new deal, but no extension talks were held.
With the decision taken to part ways, it is believed that a compensation package has already been agreed.
Redknapp returned to his home on the South Coast in the early hours of Thursday morning and spoke with
Sky Sports News.
He is said to be feeling 'alright', but is 'surprised' and 'bemused' by the events of the last 24 hours.
Ready
The 65-year-old former West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton manager is, however, looking to stay in the game and would be willing to make an immediate return to the dugout if the right offer comes along.
He said: "Absolutely. I feel great. I am ready. I love football and that's what keeps me going. I love going in to see the players every day. I'm not one for sitting at home."
Asked where he sees himself ending up, he added: "Who knows. I'd suit any job. Who knows what happens in football."
When it was suggested that he may be approaching the end of his coaching career, Redknapp said: "Why am I coming towards the end of it? Sir Alex Ferguson is in his 70s and he isn't coming to the end, he's still the best manager in the world. You look at the World Cup and the experienced managers there. I'm not coming to the end. I'm as fit as a fiddle."
