Cameroon international likens boss to 'son of Mourinho'
Benoit Assou-Ekotto is convinced Tottenham are heading in the right direction under new coach Andre Villas-Boas despite no win in their opening two games.
Spurs conceded a stoppage-time equaliser against West Brom when James Morrison netted, ultimately prolonging Villas-Boas' search for his first victory in charge of the club.
The 34-year-old, who replaced Harry Redknapp, is under pressure to restore his reputation in English football after being sacked by Chelsea in March.
However, Cameroon international Assou-Ekotto is fully behind his new mentor and believes he can succeed at White Hart Lane, likening him to former Blues boss "son of Jose Mourinho".
"He's cool," he said.
"He has a different way to work, so we learn different things from him.
"He's like the son of (Jose) Mourinho because he used to work with him and he works in the same style. We do a little more tactics at training.
"If we work more about tactics we can win and we will enjoy (our football)."
