Central defender joins Ewood Park outfit on four year deal

Central defender Scott Dann has joined Blackburn from Birmingham City on a four-year contract. The 24-year-old, who had attracted interest from Arsenal, is understood to have moved for a fee of £6m, rising to £8m. He will be reunited with Rovers boss Steve Kean, who was on the coaching staff at Coventry during Dann's 18-month spell at the Ricoh Arena before the defender left the Sky Blues to join Birmingham for £3.5m in July 2009. Liverpool-born Dann had a medical in Lancashire earlier on Wednesday but the finalities of his contract were not confirmed until less than 30 minutes before the close of the transfer window. Meanwhile, Birmingham have confirmed that recent loan signing Guirane N'Daw has received international clearance and is now eligible to get his Blues career under way.
