Frustration for Spurs as star 'not on the market'
Harry Redknapp says his interest in Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has ended because the club are not willing to sell the player.
Young has developed into one of the Premier League's finest wide men following his move to Villa Park from Watford in 2007.
And Redknapp has eyed the England international as a player who can help his side develop into a prominent top four team.
But Villa are not prepared to let the 25-year-old leave the club, meaning Spurs' frustrating summer in the transfer market continues.
On a proposed switch to White Hart Lane, Redknapp said: "There's no truth in that one.
"He's a good player and if he's available then we'd be interested, I suppose - but most clubs would be - but at the moment I think he's not on the market.
"Aston Villa want to keep him so the fact is, until they want to sell him, there's nothing you can do."
