Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has led Manchester United to six successive league wins, but the club's haul of 44 points has come at a considerable price.
The club have spent £661m assembling their current squad, meaning each point they have won this season has cost more than £15m so far.
Reigning champions Manchester City have splashed a league-topping £748m on their current crop of players, but their title-challenging haul of 56 points averages as the second most expensive at £13.3m.
Perhaps surprisingly, Everton rank third with an average of £10.2m per point - more than Chelsea (£9.9m) and Merseyside rivals Liverpool (£9m) - while Fulham's average of £8.3m per point is more than Arsenal's £8m.
Which clubs spend the most in January?
In contrast, Cardiff may be among the relegation places after a 3-0 defeat to Newcastle last time out, but each of their 19 points has averaged at a league-low £2.1m.
Watford (£3.9m) and Wolves (£2.8m) appear to be the best value for money, assuming seventh and eighth spot in the Premier League table - despite having squads totalling only £127.6m and £89.3m, respectively.
Burnley (£4.6m) Brighton (£4.8m) and Bournemouth (£5.1m) are also punching above their weight in gold, while Tottenham are the most economical top-six side with their £300m squad averaging at just £5.9m per point.
