Women's Super League round-up: Man City comeback beats Everton

Manchester City had to come from behind to defeat Everton 3-1 and maintain their two-point lead at the top of the Women's Super League.

Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah gave struggling Everton a shock lead in the 12th minute, and they maintained that advantage until two minutes after the break, when Keira Walsh netted.

Janine Beckie's header put City ahead eight minutes later and Nikita Parris made sure of the points with a stoppage-time third.

Arsenal stayed on City's tail with a 3-0 victory over bottom side Yeovil.

The Gunners were frustrated until the 59th minute, when Kim Little made the breakthrough, and the Scotland star added her second from the penalty spot after Beth Mead had netted.

Fran Kirby and Beth England both scored hat-tricks as third-placed Chelsea put six past Bristol City without reply.

City were up against it from the start, with Kirby scoring in the second minute and England the sixth, and a second from Kirby made it three at half-time.

England added the fourth just after the hour mark then Kirby completed her hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute, with England going on to match her.

Fourth-placed Birmingham were beaten 2-1 by Brighton, who came from behind to secure the points.

Ellen White gave Blues the lead in the 26th minute but Kayleigh Green equalised three minutes later and Ellie Brazil's header 18 minutes from time proved the decisive moment.

Alisha Lehmann's double put an end to West Ham's losing run as they secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Reading.

Fara Williams pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 66th minute but Reading could not find an equaliser.
