Lazio coach Edy Reja has revealed that Aleksandar Kolarov's move to Manchester City is almost complete.

But Lazio president delivers a contradictory message over left-back

Lazio coach Edy Reja has revealed that left-back Aleksandar Kolarov's move to Manchester City is almost complete. The Serbia international has been linked with a £17million transfer to Eastlands for several months as reports suggest Roberto Mancini is not convinced by Wayne Bridge. Reja has previously said that he is expecting Kolarov to be present at pre-season training and that he wants to keep hold of the 24-year-old. But the Lazio boss has now confessed that a deal with Premier League City is close to being announced.

No agreement

Reja told RaiTre: "Kolarov at Manchester City? His transfer is in the finishing straight. "We are very careful about what happens around us. Some players will leave and they will be replaced by much stronger players." But Lazio president Claudio Lotito has delivered a contradictory message, insisting that City have yet to submit an approach in writing. He told lalaziosiamonoi.it: "Aleksandar is currently a player of Lazio and there is absolutely no agreement with Manchester City because I have not received any written offer. "Until they make an offer, we cannot talk about the distance (in valuation) between the sides."
