Teenager focused on present with Feyenoord

On-loan Manchester City youngster John Guidetti insists he is not thinking about his future amid reports that Feyenoord want to keep him for another season. After a slow start at De Kuip the 19-year-old has burst into life in recent weeks, netting 11 goals as the Eredivisie's third top scorer, including a hat-trick to inspire Sunday's 3-2 victory over FC Twente. Technical director Martin van Geel is reportedly set to meet with representatives from City in Manchester on Wednesday to discuss keeping the Swede after his season-long loan deal expires. But the teenager says he is looking no further ahead than Christmas, telling NUSport: "Have I given a message to Van Geel? No. "I live in the present, not the future. I'm going to get along with Santa Claus and celebrate Christmas with my girlfriend. "We are going to Kenya to enjoy some sun. It's cold here."
